Boston is a city rich with history and possibility, a leader in education, medicine, and the home of multiple league championships! As a Boston EPIC Service Warrior, you will get the chance to move beyond the Freedom Trail and Copley Square.  You will journey into the communities of Boston, your communities. You will brighten schools, refresh public parks, and address critical needs in the community.

Service Warriors are young leaders with disabilities ready to answer our call to discover greatness through service.  Service Warriors spend one year serving their communities to learn practical skills to help them reach their future goals, while at the same time, showing Boston what young leaders with disabilities are capable of.

Program Basics

 

The Boston EPIC Service Warriors Program runs for 13 months (May to May). During the year, Service Warriors will participate in an Opening Day/Orientation, a minimum of 12 community service projects, 10 leadership development workshops, and a Graduation Celebration.

who are EPIC Service Warriors

​

Service Warriors are young people with disabilities between the ages of 16-23, who live in the Greater Boston Area and have a passion to create change in their communities and lives.

​

EPIC Service Warriors are as diverse as the Disability Community, ranging in the spectrum of disability types.  In addition to diversity in disability types, EPIC Service Warriors are a diverse team that represents the communities they serve. Diverse in identity and experience. Some of our Warriors enter the program with rich volunteer, academic, employment, and social experience, while others have had little access to their communities beyond home and school.  There is a place for all these young people at EPIC as each young person brings a unique perspective and leadership style to their team.
